2026 Hyundai Verna HX 6 Variant Explained: How Well Equipped Is The Mid-Variant?

Hyundai has launched the first mid-life facelift of the Verna in India, with prices starting from Rs 10.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Verna can be had in a total of six variants: HX 2, HX 4, HX 6, HX 6 Plus, HX 8, and HX 10. 

Out of all these variants, the HX 6 is one of the most value-for-money variants as it offers most of the equipment that you’d require without hurting your pocket. The HX 6 variant sits just above the HX 4 trim and carries everything the HX 4 has to offer, and further adds to the equipment list as well. Here’s what you get with the HX 6 trim: 

2026 Hyundai Verna HX 6: Exterior 

The new Verna brings with it a sleek and striking front fascia, where Hyundai has given it subtle refreshments to make it feel new. Adding to the futuristic look of the new Verna is a big grille and the signature connected LED DRL. But unlike the HX 2 (more details about the base variant here) and HX 4 trims, the HX 6 variant comes equipped with dual LED projector headlights, which improve the overall front profile by making it look sporty yet elegant (read detailed HX 4 vs HX 6 comparison here). 

In profile, the only addition to the HX 6 variant is 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and silver door handles and window trim. Everything else remains the same as the lower variants with a sporty coupe-like roofline and sharp creases. 

At the rear, the overall styling is very similar to the HX 4 variant featuring LED taillights and a bootlid spoiler. Thanks to the facelift, the rear bumper now carries a refreshed look with a silver applique and faux diffuser.

2026 Hyundai Verna HX 6: Interior 

On the inside, the HX 6 variant of the 2026 Hyundai Verna features a dual-tone interior theme with fabric upholstery. A new flat bottom steering wheel with Hyundai’s ‘morse code’ logo is standard across all variants, and the driver's seat gets manual adjustment. The cockpit is slightly tilted towards the driver, and the quality of materials is worth appreciating. 

The HX 6 variant further adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, adjustable rear headrests, and rear window sunshades in addition to the lower HX 4 trim’s features. 

2026 Hyundai Verna HX 6: Features 

Hyundai has done a brilliant job in loading the HX 6 variant with all the important features that you would require. The HX 6 variant carries forward many of the features from the HX 4 trim, starting with an electric sunroof, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, cruise control, and a cooled glove box. 

What it gets extra is a smart trunk opening, wireless smartphone charger, keyless entry, ambient lighting, and electrically folding ORVMs. The automatic variants come equipped with a drive mode selector and paddle shifters. 

In the infotainment department, the HX 4 variant already gets most of the things covered, and nothing else is additionally added to the list in the HX 6 variant, except for front tweeters. You continue to get an 8-inch touchscreen system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, front and rear speakers, and a semi-digital instrument cluster. 2026 Hyundai Verna HX 6: Safety 

Hyundai has covered all the basic safety equipment on the HX 6 variant of the new Verna, starting from 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, automatic headlights, rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system, rear defogger, and ISOFIX mounts. 

What this variant adds additionally to the list are front parking sensors, rear view camera, driver rear view monitor and an auto-dimming IRVM.

2026 Hyundai Verna HX 6: Powertrain

Hyundai is offering the HX 6 variant of the new Verna with a single engine option, which is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The good part over here is that from this variant onwards, you start to get the option to choose an automatic transmission. Here are the detailed engine specifications: 

MT- Manual Transmission, CVT- Continuously Variable Transmission (automatic)

It covers all the basic requirements and also offers some modern tech and features, which is the icing on top.
