Tata Nexon Maintains Strong Lead Over Maruti Brezza in May 2023 Subcompact SUV Sales
The next best-selling model, the Hyundai Venue, is behind them by a few thousand units
In May 2023, demands for the subcompact SUVs were relatively stable, with the total sales of over 55,000 units. It was a mix of growth and decline across the models with the Maruti Brezza enjoying the most gains and the Kia Sonet suffering the biggest loss, while the Tata Nexon seems out of reach at the top of the list.

Mahindra has managed to sell over 5,000 units of the XUV300 again. The facelifted XUV300 is also in the works, the test mule of which has been spied multiple times.

- With over 2,600 dispatches in May 2023, the demand for the Nissan Magnite has been relatively stable. Nissan has also introduced a new “Geza” special edition variant of the Magnite, which is based on its lower-spec trim and gets infotainment related updates.
- Despite registering an MoM sales growth of over 45 percent, the Kiger continues to be the lowest-selling subcompact SUV in May 2023 with less than 2,000 units.
