Toyota Land Cruiser celebrating its 60th birthday

Toyota is celebrating the 60th birth anniversary of Toyota Land cruiser the true off roader which has been winning hearts o car buyers in 188 countries. As many as 5 million buyers own the SUV across world. A special edition has been unveiled to mark the occasion.

Toyota Motors the well known Japanese auto giant launched its first SUV in 1951 and first entered the auto mobile industry with Toyota Land Cruiser. It was especially designed for the Japanese military earlier christened as Toyota BJ. This SUV soon climbed the fame ladder when it rushed the road beneath Mount Fiji to a height of 2500 meters hill top. It became a name with recognition all round the globe.

In the year 1954, Toyota unveiled a more powerful and stout car models of Toyota BJ, the Type 25 BJ which was later renamed as Toyota Land Cruiser. This savvy, sturdy SUV has changed generations and still holds a pinnacle status in the auto industry.
