Final Takeaway

While the base-spec variants of both SUVs offer only basic amenities, the XUV700's base-spec trim provides an additional advantage with a touchscreen infotainment system featuring Android Auto. However, the MG SUV also gets a rear wiper and defogger over the Mahindra rival.

Furthermore, the XUV700 boasts a more powerful turbo-petrol engine than the Hector, but you might prefer the Hector for better fuel efficiency.

Overall, the Mahindra XUV700's MX 5-seater petrol variant offers more value-for-money than the MG Hector's Style variant, but not by a massive margin.
