Lexus Teases LF-C2 concept ahead of LA Motor Show
Toyota’s luxury brand Lexus will unveil a new Lexus LF-C2 concept at the upcoming LA Motor Show starting from next week. The automaker also teased an image of upcoming model which hints towards a convertible version of the RC coupe Lexus. The image shows the silhouette of an open top, two-seat sports car.

While more details are still under the wrap, the concept model do tell us about the company's future plans to roll out a production model of RC convertible. The teased image shares same styling cues along with the same rear bumper design with RC Coupe. If the production model based on concept LF-C2 makes way to showrooms, it will join the standard RC coupe along with the performance-based RC F. It is expected that the concept is likely carry 5.0-litre V8 engine. If the production model is out soon, it will compete with the likes of Audi A5 Cabriolet, BMW 4 Series Convertible and Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet.
Alain Uyttenhoven, Vice President of Lexus Europe recently in an interview with a leading newspaper said, “With our [comparatively small] share of the premium car market, the only way to compete is to stand out. We need to get more emotional appeal into our cars, not only through improved driving dynamics, but also through design." More details will be out on November 19, as the media days of LA auto show will kick off.
