Maruti Suzuki Brezza 2026

One of the highest selling subcompact SUVs in the Indian market, the Maruti Brezza, is about to get a much awaited facelift in the coming months. This will be the first major update for the Brezza since the current version was launched back in 2022, and while Maruti has not revealed any details of the updated model, its spy shots give us a glimpse into what the facelifted version will bring to the table after making us wait for four years.

Based on the recent spy shots of the facelifted Brezza, which are not so abundant, we can tell that Maruti will make minor tweaks to the Brezza’s design to give it a breath of fresh air.

Up front, we expect Maruti to update the lighting setup with a redesigned housing and some tweaks are also expected in the design of the grille and the front bumper. All of these updates will definitely make the Brezza look fresh and up to date.

In profile, based on the spy shots, the silhouette remains the same and so does the window line. The only major change expected in the side profile is the new 4-spoke design for the alloy wheels.

At the back, the spy shots suggest that the tail lamps will be similar to the current version, but we can expect some subtle tweaks to their design along with a redesigned rear bumper.

You can also expect Maruti to add some new exterior shades in the Brezza’s colour palette.

Details of the updates made to the cabin are next to none as no spy shots of the Brezza facelift’s interiors have leaked online. Still, based on the minimal changes made to the exterior, we can expect that the cabin will also see limited design changes.

Maruti can tweak the design of the dashboard a little by making it slimmer and we can expect a new cabin theme. With most of its cars, Maruti offers a dark cabin theme which often appears dull, and while the Brezza is expected to get a new theme inside, we think it will still be in a dark shade.

You can also expect leatherette seat upholstery and slightly more premium elements inside the cabin to keep up with its rivals.

Features

In terms of features, we expect Maruti to make additions like a bigger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment, a fully digital driver’s display, as well as powered and ventilated front seats. Other features like automatic climate control, a single-pane sunroof, a heads-up display, 6 airbags, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control (ESC), and a 360-degree camera are expected to be carried forward from the current version.

The current version of the Brezza comes with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which makes 103 PS and 139 Nm, and the same engine is expected to power the facelifted version. The transmission options are also expected to be the same: 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.

However, the CNG version of the Brezza facelift can get an underbody CNG kit which we’ve seen in the Victoris, and this will lead to better boot space in the CNG variants. For reference, the CNG version of the Brezza makes 88 PS and 121.5 Nm.

Spy shots of the upcoming Brezza facelift suggest it will be more of a minimal revamp. However, with this small update, if Maruti adds popular features and makes the design look fresh enough as well as a lower price tag, the Brezza facelift should have an upper hand than most of its rivals.
