Kia Clavis To Debut Tomorrow: 5 Things You Need To Know

While the wraps off the Clavis are set to come off tomorrow, its prices are expected in June 

Kia India is all set to reveal the Kia Clavis MPV tomorrow, i.e. May 08, 2025. It’s basically a heavily refreshed version of the Carens, which will co-exist with the upcoming Clavis. If you’re interested in bringing one home, you can book one as some dealerships are taking unofficial bookings.

Here are the top 5 things you need to know about the upcoming Kia Clavis:

Kia Clavis: Exterior Design 

Some teasers and spy shots have already revealed the Kia Clavis’ exterior design. The front-end gets a blanked-off grille and new triangular-shaped LED headlights with angular DRLs similar to the EV6. The bumper has been redesigned to give it a fresh new look. 

A new design for the alloys is expected to be on the cards, and it could be one size larger than the Carens’ 16-inch rims. Some interesting colour options are also expected to be offered to give the Clavis its own unique look. Moving on to the rear, the Clavis gets a new pair of LED tail lamps, which are connected by an LED light bar. A refreshed rear bumper with silver inserts rounds off the overall design. 

Kia Clavis: Interior Design 

The insides of the Kia Clavis are yet to be seen. However, we expect a new dashboard design and an updated colour scheme. Like the Carens, the Clavis is expected to be offered in two seating layouts: a six-seater with captain seats and a seven-seater with a bench seat for middle-row occupants. It will also get a host of new features, which is what we are going to talk about next.

Kia Clavis: Features Onboard 

Some confirmed features onboard the Kia Clavis include a digital driver’s display (likely to be 12.3 inches), a panoramic sunroof and Level-2 Advanced Driver’s Assistance Systems (ADAS). It is also expected to come with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the Syros, dual-zone climate control and a powered co-driver’s seat with boss mode.

Other features such as a wireless phone charger, a Bose sound system, a powered driver’s seat and keyless entry with push button start will be carried forward. Apart from the addition of ADAS, the Clavis will get six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), front and rear parking sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a 360-degree camera. 

Kia Clavis: Expected Engine Options 

The Kia Clavis is expected to continue with the same engine options as the Carens, details of which have been mentioned in the table below:

Kia Clavis: Expected Price And Rivals 

We expect the Kia Clavis to be priced from around Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be a more premium alternative to the Maruti Ertiga, Maruti XL6 and the existing Kia Carens. That said, it’s still expected to be more affordable than the Toyota Innova Crysta, Toyota Innova Hycross and the Maruti Invicto.
