Honda Amaze Elite And City Elegant Edition Launched Ahead Of Festive Season

Honda Cars India has launched limited editions of its popular sedan duo, the Amaze and the City. The Amaze Elite Edition is priced from Rs 9.04 lakh while the Honda City Elegant Edition starts at Rs 12.57 lakh. Customers can opt for both manual or automatic transmission options on both the sedans.

The Honda City’s Elegant Edition is based on its mid-spec V variant. Some of the additions on the outside include the trunk spoiler with an LED strip, front fender garnish, and ‘Elegant Edition’ badges. The Japanese carmaker has also included some interior features like a wireless phone charger, Elegant Edition seat covers, illuminated door sills and footwell lamps.

Similarly, the Amaze Elite Edition too gains updates both on the outside and the inside. However, in the Amaze, the limited edition is based on the top-end VX trim. Like the City, the Amaze Elite Edition comes with a trunk spoiler equipped with an LED strip, front fender garnish, ‘Elite’ badges, TPMS and an anti-fog film application on ORVMs. On the inside, the Amaze Elite Edition comes with revised upholstery, illuminated door sills and a sliding front armrest.

No mechanical changes have been made to the powertrain options of the sedan. The Amaze comes with a 1.2-litre petrol engine (90PS/110Nm) mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or CVT transmission. On the other hand, the City gets only a 1.5-litre petrol engine (121PS/145Nm) paired with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT.

The Amaze takes on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Tata Tigor and the Hyundai Aura. Meanwhile, the Honda City competes with the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna and the Skoda-Volkswagen twins of Slavia and Virtus in the Indian market.
