Deliveries Of The Maruti Jimny Have Started Already

The Maruti Jimny. is already making its way to buyers across the country following the reveal of the prices. Its bookings have been open since the Auto Expo 2023, for a token amount of Rs 25,000. Interested buyers can now test drive the off-roader across all the Nexa showrooms. 

Prior to launch, the Jimny was touring different Nexa showrooms across the country. Now, it’s on display at showrooms pan-India, and available for product demos. With the popularity that the Jimny is garnering, you might find the showrooms crowded for some time.

The 5-door Maruti Jimny is offered in Zeta and Alpha variants. It gets a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which is good for 105PS and 134Nm. Transmission options include 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmissions. 

Living up to its off-road credentials, the Jimny gets 4X4 with a low-range gearbox as standard. Features like brake limited slip differential and hill descent control further aid its off-roading capabilities. 

The feature list of the Jimny includes LED headlights, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, automatic AC, and push-button start stop. Safety is covered by six airbags, ESP, hill hold control, rear camera, and ISOFIX child seat mounts as standard. While the Jimny is more practical in its five-door avatar with a proper boot, it is still strictly a four-seater offering.

Maruti Jimny prices range from Rs 12.74 lakh to Rs 15.05 lakh (ex-showroom). Other rugged alternatives to it include the Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha. The Jimny can also be seen as an adventurous option to similarly priced subcompact SUVs.
