Datsun RediGO Spied Again in Chennai!
Datsun RediGO has been spied again in Chennai. The front end of the car was captured for the first time. The car is to be launched in the entry level segment and will be targeting the buyers who want a good alternative to Maruti Alto 800.
Datsun RediGO has been spied again in Chennai. Though it has been spied earlier in November, the front end of the car has been captured for the first time. First displayed at 2014 Auto Expo, the car is to be launched in the entry level segment and will be targeting the buyers who want a good alternative to Maruti Alto 800.
RediGO is similar to Renault KWID as both these models are based on CMF-A platform and are likely to get an automatic transmission. But this is where the similarity ends, and be it the outside looks or interiors, RediGO is found to be distinctly different and even the engines are expected not to be similar. While KWID is powered by a 0.8L engine delivering a maximum power of 54 PS and torque of 72 Nm, RediGO is pegged to have a new engine which will come mated to a manual transmission for the time being. This will be the second car from Renault-Nissan after KWID which will be competing with the Maruti Alto 800. Some rumours claim that the car will be launched by April next year and this has given rise to the speculations that it will be launched in 2016 Auto Expo. Datsun will also be displaying its GO-Cross at the same festival.
KWID has recently enjoyed an amazing response from the customers and as a collaborator, Nissan too can keep its finger crossed.
