Audi sold 884 cars in year 2008.

Audi,leading Germany luxary car maker,today has delivered its sells report of last ten months of the current calendar year.
According to the given report,884 car have been sold as yet as compared to 292 in the corresponding period last year.In the present calender year, sales grew by 203 percent as compare to same period of last year.In the first two months of 2008, 114 cars have been sold in India, a nearly 60 percent increase.The company is trying to reach the target of selling 1,000 cars in a single calender year in India. Mr. Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi,told to journalists at the company's headquarters in Ingolstadt, Germany.He also saysAudi will hope to sell 10,000 cars a year by 2015 in India.

Audi is also going to introduce its new model in indian market this year.It introduced models with 'Vorsprung durch Technik' and 'Audi R8'.Audi R8 is sport car which will carry the price tag of Rs 1.17 crore.Vice-President Marketing Audi (India), Mr.Martin Birkner said here.Company is also expanding its dealership from seven to tewelve.Audi's sales in India have been steadily growing — from 105 cars sold in 2005 to 300 the next year and to 350 in 2007 and 884 in 2008.Audi opens largest showcase at Gudgaon Located just outside of New Delhi with a floorspace of 13,684 sq.ft.

Audi A4 and Audi Q7 are the most selling models of Audi in 2008.Audi will look to introduce the recently unveiled new Q7 V12 TDI. This sports a 6-litre engine and is much more powerful than the Q7 SUVs that it sells in India, directly imported from Europe.At present, the company sells Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi A8, Audi Q7 and Audi TT.
