Citroen Basalt Vision

Latest Update: The test mule Citroen Basalt Vision has been spotted testing in India ahead of its launch.

Launch: It is expected to be launched in India by the second half of 2024.

Price: Citroen could price it from Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.

Engine And Transmission: The Citroen Basalt Vision will likely be powered by the same 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine (110 PS / up to 205 Nm) as the C3 hatchback and C3 Aircross compact SUV. This engine will be offered with both a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

Features: Citroen could offer the coupe SUV with features such as 10.2-inch touchscreen and a 7-inch digital driver’s display, automatic AC, cruise control, push button engine start/stop, and keyless entry.

Safety: Its safety kit could include up to six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a rear parking camera, and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Rivals: In India, the Citroen Basalt Vision will take on the Tata Curvv, while also being an alternative to the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, and Honda Elevate.
