Nissan has inaugurated India’s first Nissan High Performance Centre (NHPC) in Noida, part of the Delhi-National Capital Region. While the centre will cater to the sales and service of all Nissan products currently on sale in India, the NHPC will also be the only place where Nissan will showcase the newly launched GT-R sportscar. The centre will serve as the exclusive sales and service facility for all GT-Rs sold in India.

Nissan says that NHPC is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, which is imported directly from Japan. To service and repair the GT-R, Nissan’s flagship offering, the facility has dedicated service bays (for all cars), wheel alignment machines and all the required tools and equipment to efficiently service the car’s engines, transmissions, braking systems and performance optimisation.

On the occasion of the facility’s inauguration, Arun Malhotra, managing director, Nissan Motor India said that by opening the country’s first NHPC, Nissan has once again proved that it wants to deliver world-class products and services to its customers in India. He further added that the specially trained technicians for the GT-R will provide global standards of technical assistance to the car’s owners across India.

Hiroshi Tamura, Nissan’s chief product specialist for the GT-R further added that the Nissan GT-R requires highest standards of service and care for it to deliver its best performance. The staff at Noida, he said, has had rigorous training in Japan to provide the world-class level of service to GT-R customers.

Apart from the technicians employed at the facility, mobile technicians called “flying doctors” will be on call to make on-site visits to cater to GT-R owners anywhere in the country. The Japanese car firm says that these highly trained sportscar mechanics will also be able to diagnose technical issues faced by GT-R customers and suggest the right course of action.
