Maruti to hire 100 new employees for Manesar plant
Maruti India mulls to appoint 100 new workers for its manufacturing plant located in Manesar from tomorrow onwards. The hiring procedure is taking place to replace those workers who have denied signing the good conduct bond. Maruti India said that it has brought in around fifty workers, who are not only experienced but also ITI trained at the Manesar Plant of Maruti Suzuki India. Maruti India produces around 500 Maruti Swifts from the Gurgaon and Manesar plant.

Maruti India will permit only those workers to get back to their duties at the Manesar plant who will agree to the Good Conduct Bond. Maruti India also told that ninety five workers have already signed the bond plus the 50 newly ITI trained and experienced workers; Manesar plant now has a force of around 1100 people. The standoff by Maruti India at the Manesar plant triggered off last month, when few workers were stopped from entering the manufacturing facility until they signed the good conduct bond.

The good conduct bond stated that the worker will not get their way out by working slow, sporadic stoppage of work, work to rule, strike or any other unhealthy activity, which would have a bad influence on the production of the cars in the firm. During the 1st two days of this standoff, Maruti India fired 5 permanent workers along with suspended around 26 other permanent workers and terminated the services of additional 18 trainees on the punitive basis.

However, with new employees, the production level will go up and with this now Maruti India will be capable of producing about 12500 units of Maruti Swift. Before the problem with the workers, the Manesar plant of Maruti India rolled out 1200 units of Maruti Swift and Maruti SX4 combined.The workers at the Manesar plant of Maruti Suzuki India protested against the good conduct bond, by approaching the Gurgaon district authorities. The workers demanded that the workers who were suspended and dismissed must be taken back by Maruti India. But, Maruti Suzuki India decided not to take back those workers and told that the firm will not tolerate any kind of indiscipline.
