Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Skoda Kylaq were the only sub-compact SUVs to post positive monthly gains this April
The sales report for the sub-compact SUV segment in India for April 2025 is in. The new fiscal year has started slow for the segment, with only marginal month-on-month (MoM) growth for a few models. The Maruti Brezza and Tata Nexon managed to sell over 15,000 units and continue to remain the most popular choices in the segment. Here’s a detailed overview of the entire segment sales below.

Mahindra sold over 7,500 units of the XUV 3XO this April, which is slightly higher than its March 2025 sales. However, the XUV 3XO registered the highest year-on-year (YoY) growth of 89 percent.

Skoda India sold over 5,000 units of Kylaq in April 2025, maintaining a marginal monthly growth of 1 percent.

Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger saw a major drop in sales in April 2025. The Magnite registered the highest MoM drop by 30 percent while the Kiger couldn’t cross the 1000 unit mark. The Renault SUV posted the highest YoY drop by 43 percent.

The entire sub-4m SUV segment sales have dropped by 6 percent in April 2025 compared to March 2025. In contrast, the yearly sales grew by 22 percent from April 2024.
