While the entire segment sales saw a month-on-month (MoM) decline of 7.5 percent, the XUV 3XO is the only model to post a monthly gain
Maruti Brezza remained the best-selling subcompact SUV in May 2025, however, its month-on-month sales have dropped like most other models. The overall segment sales have also witnessed a drop in demand. The Mahindra XUV 3XO was the only car in this segment to have reported a MoM gain. Here’s the model-wise breakdown:

Skoda sold nearly 5,000 units of the Kylaq in May 2025, marking a 7 percent drop in monthly sales. The Kia Syros, another new entrant in the segment, also reported an MoM sales decline of about 10 percent, with over 3,600 units sold in May 2025.

Nissan sold over 1,300 units of the Magnite in May 2025, compared to over 1,700 units in April 2025., thus recording the steepest MoM drop in sales by 23.72 percent.
