2025 Tata Safari Variant-wise Features Explained

The Safari gets a completely rejigged variant lineup with new trims including Smart, Pure X, Adventure X Plus, Accomplished X and Accomplished X Plus

Tata Motors has updated the variant lineup of the Safari SUV and streamlined the trims to help customers make an easier choice. The SUV is now available in 5 broad variants: Smart, Pure X, Adventure X Plus, Accomplished X and Accomplished X Plus. While the feature suite remains the same, the variant-wise distribution has entirely changed. Here’s a detailed explanation of everything the new Safari variants have to offer:

Considering it is the base variant, the Smart trim gets a lot of modern-day design elements outside including projector LED headlights, LED DRLs and LED tail lights. It also gets 17-inch alloy wheels which elevates the premiumness of the SUV. Inside, it gets fabric seat upholstery and ropes in a 7-inch semi-digital driver’s display and auto AC. But it misses out on any infotainment system or speaker setup. That said, it gets a robust safety net with features like 6 airbags, rear parking sensors and disc brakes on all wheels.

Over the base-spec Smart trim, one essential amenity the Pure X variant gets is a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a 4-speaker sound system. It also gets a larger 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, push-button start/stop and powered ORVMs. The automatic variants also feature paddle shifters.

In terms of safety, additional increments include a 360-degree camera and rear wiper. It is also available in a #Dark edition with exclusive badges, bigger alloy wheels and an all-black cabin theme.

This is the variant we would recommend to pick if you’re on a budget. It’s also offered with an optional automatic transmission for added convenience.

The new Aventure X Plus trim gets a different dual-tone cabin theme and uses a lot of leatherette materials on the seat, doors and dashboard. Outside, it gets bigger 18-inch alloy wheels with 19-inch units available with the #Dark edition.

In terms of amenities it gets additions like a powered driver’s seat, manual boss mode for the front passenger seat and an enhanced 6-speaker sound system. While both manual and automatic versions get an electronic parking brake and rear defogger, the latter goes a step further to offer a Level-2 ADAS suite. The #Dark edition gets the same additions as the Pure X #Dark edition trim.

This variant should suffice most buyers looking for the Safari as it gets all the necessary comfort and safety features one is looking for in their SUV.

Over the new Adventure X variant, the one-below-top Accomplished X trim features connected LED tail lights, a new white and brown cabin theme, sunblinds and wing-type headrests for 2nd row passengers which improve the cabin comfort. It also gets a wireless phone charger and keyless entry. Notably, this variant gets a bigger 12.3-inch touchscreen, which is same as the one offered with the Tata Curvv SUV-coupe and a 9-speaker JBL sound system. It gets small safety updates in the form of a TPMS and an auto-dimming IRVM. Key differences of the #Dark edition is the same as the other variants in which the special edition is available.

Over the Accomplished X trim, the top-spec Accomplished Plus X variant comes with all the bells and whistles such as front and rear fog lamps and 19-inch alloy wheels. It also features a powered co-driver’s seat with electric boss mode. This variant is available in a choice between 6 or 7 seats and the former not only gets ventilated front seats, but the 2nd row seats also get this convenience feature. It has an enhanced safety suite with 7 airbags, level-2 ADAS standard for both manual and automatic trims and front parking sensors.

Notably, while the Accomplished X Plus trim gets a #Dark edition like the previous variants with similar design differences, it is the only variant to get the Stealth edition. This special edition gets a matte black exterior and interior theme, while packing in the same alloys in a different hue.
