Kia launched the 2025 Carens Clavis on May 23 and has now begun delivering it to customers. This premium MPV from the Korean carmaker is priced from Rs 11.50 lakh and is available in seven broad variants: HTE, HTE (O), HTK, HTK Plus, HTK Plus (O), HTX, and HTX Plus. It features a brand-new design, offers both 6- and 7-seating layouts, and comes with three powertrain options.
If you are interested in the premium Kia MPV, here’s a detailed overview for you:
Design
The Kia Carens Clavis sports a new and futuristic design with an EV-like blanked-off grille, three-pod LED headlights, and stylish angular LED DRLs inside triangular housings making it stand out from its Carens sibling. It also gets a rugged black bumper with a faux silver skid plate for added contrast.
The side profile looks similar to the Carens with body-coloured outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMs), silver roof rails, and a silver insert on the door cladding. However, it gets redesigned 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels that look sophisticated and modern.
At the rear, the Carens Clavis features connected LED tail lights, a feature typical to modern-day cars. It also gets black cladding and a silver skid plate on the rear bumper.
The Kia Carens Clavis offers eight monotone colour options: Clear White, Sparkling Silver, Aurora Black Pearl, Pewter Olive, Imperial Blue, Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Gray, and Ivory Silver Gloss.
Interior & Features

The cabin of the new Kia Carens Clavis looks modern and premium with a navy blue and beige theme, while the lower variants get black and beige hues inside. The dashboard looks upmarket with a dual-screen setup for the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. It also gets a dual-tone two-spoke steering wheel with controls for audio and calling.
The centre console houses a touch-enabled control panel with physical knobs for AC and infotainment controls. The seats get a leatherette upholstery and the Carens Clavis is offered with a 7-seater layout across all variants. The fully loaded trim, however, can be had with 6 seats.
The Carens Clavis is well-equipped with features like 12.3-inch dual screens for infotainment and the driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, a 4-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, paddle shifters, and auto AC with dedicated vents for the second and third rows. While the 12.3-inch infotainment system in higher trims doesn’t support wireless Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, the lower variants with the 8-inch screen do offer wireless connectivity.
In terms of safety, Kia provides 6 airbags (as standard), a 360-degree camera with blind spot monitoring, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, disc brakes on all wheels, a Level-2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), and front and rear parking sensors.
