Hyundai Creta Maintains Its Position Of The Best Selling Compact SUV For June 2021
The compact SUV segment saw a 75 percent increase in monthly sales
The compact SUV segment is dominated by the likes of Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, now also joined by the Skoda Kushaq. The former two are the front runners and best sellers, staying ahead of the Nissan Kicks, Mahindra Scorpio, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, and Renault Duster.
So, here’s the detailed list of the best selling compact SUVs in India:

The Hyundai Creta is the best selling compact SUV, with monthly sales of 9,941 units in June and a market share of 41 percent. It saw a 32 percent growth in sales compared to 7,527 units in May.

The second position is taken up by the Kia Seltos, reporting 8,549 units sold. It saw a 100 percent rise in sales, from 4,277 units sold in May 2021.

Mahindra Scorpio captures the third spot with monthly sales of 4,160 units in June, compared to 1,782 units in May 2021, seeing a 133 percent rise.

The S-Cross sees a monthly sales rise of 523 percent, selling 1,441 units last month against 231 units in May.

Renault Duster finishes second-to-last, recording 114 units sold. In May 2021, only 32 units of it were sold, seeing a 256 percent rise in sales in June. Meanwhile, Renault is planning to discontinue the current generation Duster this year. Read ahead for more details.

The last spot is taken up by the Nissan Kicks, which sees a 600 percent sales increase from 12 units sold in May 2021 to 84 in June. It is the least selling SUV, maintaining its last spot for many months.

Overall, the compact SUV segment saw a 75 percent increase in sales, from 13,861 units in May to 24,289 units sold in June.
