Following the GST rate cuts, Tata has announced price reduction across its entire portfolio, including the Tata Harrier and Tata Safari. These flagship Tata SUVs have become affordable by up to Rs 1.48 lakh, with maximum benefits offered with their higher-spec trims. Revised Tax Slabs For Tata Harrier And Tata Safari
Prior to GST rate cuts, both Tata Harrier and Tata Safari attracted a GST rate of 28 percent, along with an additional 22 percent cess, which would make for a total 50 percent tax rate. Under the new GST scheme, both of these Tata SUVs are now taxed at 40 percent, with the cess component entirely eliminated.

When Do The New Prices Come Into Effect?

The revised GST rates are already into effect from September 22, 2025. Given the ongoing festive season, it’s the perfect time to drive home a car as automakers also have special benefits along with lower GST rates.

The Tata Harrier takes on the MG Hector and 5-seater variants of the Mahindra XUV700, while the Tata Safari rivals the Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus, and 6/7-seater variants of the XUV700.
