New India-specific Skoda Octavia soon
Skoda is thinking to roll out India-specific new upgraded model of Octavia in the next few years. By launching the new car, the company aimed to enhance its share in the D segment in the country. The revamped version of the car will be built on a new platform at its Chakan plant near Pune. However, the details about the price, new features and technique is still awaited. Currently, the Indian model of Skoda Octavia is a five door lift back model with estate body styles.
It shares its platform and auto components with other models from the Volkswagen group like VW Jetta and VW Golf. Skoda sold nearly 8000 Octavia and Laura models in India last year. It falls second to Honda Civic in this segment. Skoda launched new upgraded Laura in India last month.

At 12 lac price segment, I totally dissatisfied with the interiors. You should have 7 to 8 lac price segment car at 1600 cc. And also kindly in 12 lac segment of octavia, improve your interiors please. Kindly also let me know about my uncle needs to buy used skoda octavia 1.9 ( Model 2007 ). Kindly confirm. Skoda Octavia is without doubt one of the best luxury sedans avialable in Diesel. Is there any information on a facelift / cosmetic changes or any additions to the OCTAVIA anytime this year? I am planning to buy an Octavia and wouldn't mind waiting a few months if the New Octavia is round the corner. Though the car is due for a makeover, the SKODA people don't seem to be talking about it. and how would you compare the upcoming Toyota Corolla Altis DIESEL with the OCTAVIA? which would be a better option?
Dear Sir, I ve took test drive of skoda ambient diesel. Its rocking but the price is too high. As well as In 12 lakh segment, i dissatisfied with the interiors. But u should have one more segment at 8-10 lakh with 1.6 in diesel. I just salute yur octivia. I love the car so i suggest some clue if u like.... Thanks... Gaurang Patel
