    Mahindra Bolero Neo

Mahindra is all set to launch the Bolero Neo, which is essentially a facelifted TUV300, on July 15. The TUV300 was temporarily discontinued last year with the BS6 emission norms coming into effect. If you’re planning to buy the Mahindra Bolero Neo, here are five things you can expect from it:

    Updated Exterior Profile

The Bolero Neo will get a new six-slat chrome grille, reworked bumpers, new headlamps with wrap-around LED DRLs, a side black strip applique, a spoiler, and an upgraded fog lamp covering. Meanwhile, several things have been retained, including the alloy wheels, squared wheel arches, all-black body cladding, a boot-mounted spare tyre, side steps, and rear step.

    Similar Cabin

While the exterior profile sees a few updates, the cabin is largely unchanged. The interior theme, seat upholstery, touchscreen infotainment system, and dashboard styling are the same. The only changes are the addition of the Thar’s instrument cluster, cruise control, and a second-row armrest.

    BS6-compliant Engine

The Bolero Neo will continue with the TUV300’s 1.5-litre mHawk diesel engine, but it will now be updated to meet the BS6 emission norms. The engine should produce 100PS and 240Nm.

    New Colour Option

It has been spied in a new Rocky Beige colour option, which is borrowed from the Thar. The Bolero Neo may continue with the TUV300’s Black, Mystic Copper, Silver, Red, Pearl White, and Glacier White colour options.

    Expected Pricing And Rivals

The TUV300 was last priced from Rs 8.38 lakh to Rs 10.41 lakh. The Bolero Neo will demand a premium, so it should retail from anywhere between Rs 8.5 lakh and Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The Bolero Neo will rival the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Hyundai VenueKia SonetTata NexonNissan Magnite, and the upcoming Renault Kiger.
