Honda, One of world's largest automobile and motorcycle makers (based in Japan), has issued a notification to its Japan and North American market regarding a recall of some of its vehicles manufactured in Year 2002-2003 due to a fault in SRS airbag installed on driver's seat. The notification can be considered an enhancement of its previous notification regarding recall of its vehicles sold in North American and Japan markets since November 2008 though there is no incident occurred related to the mentioned fault.

Honda's recall came in the aftermath of a surprising and biggest-ever vehicle recall by world's largest car-maker, Toyota Motors. Toyota Motors facing a tough situation after suspending production of many of its vehicles including hybrid car model Toyota Prius.

According to reports some infletor propellant inside the inflator of the driver’s SRS airbag in Honda Vehiclesr was faulty and as a result, when the driver’s airbag is deployed in the case of an sudden accident, the inflator’s internal pressure would increase abruptly which in turn may rupture the casing of the inflator and cause fragments of airbag parts to scatter, which shows a possibility of injury to driver.

On the other hand both Toyota and Honda are planning to launch their new cars in India. Where the Honda Ciel India Ltd.(HCIL), a subsidiary of Japan based Honda Motors is all set to launch a new small car in India, the Toyota Motors has launched its Hybrid model Toyota Prius last month at Delhi auto expo along with announcing plans to launch  Toyota Etios in India.
