Audi sold 250 cars in August' 10

The German luxury car maker Audi has registered increased sales not only in the last month but also in the Jan-August'10 period. The company could manage to sell 250 cars in the last month which shows 46 per cent increase over August 2009 sales of 171 cars. In addition to that, the company posted 1876 units of car sales in January-August 2010 period that is accounted for 66 per cent growth over the corresponding period in 2009. The sales stood at 1128 units in January-August 2009. The sales of Jan-Aug 2010 period is also more than its total annual sales of 1658 cars last year.

Michael Perschke, Head-Audi India said in a statement that the company has seen an overwhelming response from the Indian market in 2010 and the sales figures so far will help them to achieve their goals for rest of the year. He added that the company is committed to set a new benchmark in the auto industry by enhancing the entire experience of owning a luxury automobile in India,

The German automaker has recently announced to open sales outlet in Kolkata and Bengaluru that will further strengthen its network in the country; Audi is also planning to set up new dealerships in Ludhiana, Delhi, Chennai, Jaipur and Mumbai (West). Apart from that the final of the Audi quattro Golf Tournament 2010 is scheduled to be held in Manesar on September 4, 2010. Audi has Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi A8, Audi Q5, Audi Q7, Audi TT and the super sports car Audi R8 in its portfolio.
