Maruti Suzuki Baleno to Launch Tomorrow

From tomorrow, Swift will no longer be the flagship hatch for the Maruti Suzuki. Baleno is here, and we are getting it before the rest of the world. It will be sold exclusively from the Maruti Suzuki’s Nexa dealerships. According to the Japanese automaker, the hatchback will be sold in 100 countries across the globe and India is said to be the export hub for this car.

    Maruti Baleno

Launch Update: Maruti Suzuki Baleno has been launched at a price of Rs 4.99 lacs (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The car offers segment first Apple CarPlay, amongst other creature comforts. In terms of safety, the car features ABS with EBD and Dual-Front airbags as standard throughout all of its variants. Check out the complete launch details right here: Maruti Suzuki Baleno Launched at Rs 4.99 lacs.

One of the main reason behind the development of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno is the popularity and sales of Elite i20. Soon after its launch, Hyundai managed to roll out over 10K units of Elite i20 in the Indian market on a monthly basis. And Maruti Swift, company’s flagship hatchback as of now, comes short of Elite i20 in almost every perimeter as it does not belong to that segment. Earlier, Baleno was a mid-size sedan and used to compete with Honda City until; it was replaced by the SX4 which indeed was replaced by the current Ciaz. But the Baleno moniker is back in a form of a premium hatchback.

The vehicle is coming with a plethora of features which are first to the segment or even a segment above and things like the Apple Car Play which according to Maruti is country first! So there’s a lot going on with the hatch and if Baleno price comes out right, it might give a tough tiff in the premium hatchback space.
