The Volkswagen Golf GTI is going to be the carmaker's second GTI model in India after the Polo GTI. Now, it is being said that the hot hatchback will be launched in India on May 26, 2025. Ore-bookings of the Golf GTI were closed a few weeks ago as the first lot of cars that have been brought to India are sold out. Let us take a brief look at everything the Golf GTI will have on offer:
Volkswagen Golf GTI: An Overview
The Volkswagen Golf GTI will get an aggressive-looking twin-pod LED headlight design and multiple pixel-like LED fog lamps arranged in a ‘X’ pattern. Moreover, it will feature an illuminated VW logo and the honey-comb detailing on the front bumper makes it look aggressive.
The Golf GTI sits on 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and the lowered ride height gives it a sporty stance. Unlike modern-day offerings, it will not get connected tail lights, but will feature wraparound units. However, to underline its sportiness, it will come with twin exhaust tips. One can also find red GTI badges on the grille, front fenders and tailgate to differentiate it from the regular variants that are available internationally.

Not only will it be sporty, but it will be a feature rich offering as seen with the other cars from the carmaker. Highlights include a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display with navigation support and a 7-speaker sound system. It will also feature a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, 3-zone auto AC, paddle shifters and 30 colour ambient lighting.
The safety suite will also be robust, as the Golf GTI will be equipped with 7 airbags, front and rear parking sensors, a rear parking camera and some advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) suite with features like lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control.
