Take A Look At Design Differences Between Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition And The Regular Model

While the Nissan Magnite was given a midlife refresh back in October 2024, the Japanese carmaker had not brought out the sub-4m SUV’s Kuro edition. Fast forward to August 2025, and we now have this special edition on sale in our market. It is based on the mid-spec N-Connecta variant and is priced from Rs 8.31 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). In this story, let’s check out how it’s different than the standard model inside and out, starting with the exterior:

Exterior

The main highlight of the Kuro edition is the black exterior colourway on the Magnite SUV. The ‘Kuro’ edition is to Nissan what ‘#Dark’ is to Tata.

Front

Up front, the Magnite Kuro features a smoked effect for the LED headlights (additional over the mid-spec N-Connecta trim it’s based on), and blacked-out chrome and silver finishes around the grille and for the skid plate, respectively. That said, it continues to sport the same L-shaped LED DRLs as the standard model.

Side

It’s from the sides that you notice a majority of the changes that have been made to the Nissan sub-4m SUV. The Magnite Kuro is fitted with blacked-out 16-inch alloy wheels, black roof rails, a ‘Magnite Kuro’ badge below the ORVMs on both sides, and black window beltline.

Rear

At the back, the only major noticeable difference over the regular version is the black finish for the skid plate. Having said that, it continues to flaunt the same ‘Magnite’ moniker, along with ‘CVT’ and ‘Turbo’ badges on the tailgate (for all the applicable variants).

Interior

On the inside, the Magnite Kuro comes with an all-black theme that Nissan calls ‘Midnight Black’. The seat upholstery, roof liner, and dashboard elements are finished in black to complement the special nature of the SUV. It also gets piano black inserts and finish on the steering wheel, AC vents, door pads, door handles, and even around the gear shifter to accentuate the black theme even further. In comparison, the standard model has a black and tan cabin theme and a matching seat upholstery that gives the interior a premium feel.

In terms of features, the Kuro edition carries on with the same equipment set as the N-Connecta trim that includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, auto AC with rear vents, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and push-button start/stop. The only additions with this special edition come in the form of a wireless phone charger and a dashcam, both of which are dealer-level fitments.

Passenger safety is taken care of by six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), ISOFIX child seat anchorages, hill-hold assist, and rear parking sensors. However, the Magnite Kuro misses out on a reverse parking camera that’s available on the N-Connecta variant of the standard model.

Nissan is offering the Magnite Kuro with both the engine options as the regular version. Their technical specifications are as follows:

Bookings, Prices And Rivals

The Nissan Magnite Kuro’s bookings are now open for Rs 11,000. Prices of the special edition range between Rs 8.31 lakh and Rs 10.87 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India). The Nissan Magnite goes up against the Renault Kiger, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Tata Nexon, Skoda Kylaq, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Kia Syros.
