[Update: The 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift has been unveiled. Pre-bookings are now open and prices will be announced soon. Deliveries to start from March end.]

The Skoda Kushaq has been on sale in India since 2021 and is now due for a mid-life update. With the carmaker set to launch only the Octavia RS in 2025, the facelifted Kushaq is expected to arrive in India by 2026. Ahead of its debut, a test mule of the updated SUV was spotted on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, revealing a few details of its exterior design. Let us take a look at everything we could spot on the 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift:

    What Could Be Seen?

Although wrapped in heavy camouflage, the Skoda Kushaq facelift can be seen sporting a similar pair of split-style headlights with LED DRLs at its lower part. What’s different, however, is that the test mule features dynamic LED turn indicators in place of the halogen units of the current-spec model. The front bumper design cannot be seen as it is heavily camouflaged.

The side profile looks exactly the same as the current-spec Kushaq with the 17-inch black alloy wheels that are currently offered with the higher-spec Sportline variant of the compact SUV. Other than this, silver roof rails and chrome strips on door handles can also be seen.

Like the fascia, the rear design is also similar, with wraparound tail lights that feature dynamic swiping LED turn indicators. The rear bumper is expected to be thoroughly redesigned, but it is not visible on the test mule due to the camouflage.

While the interior design could not be spotted, we can expect Skoda to heavily redesign the dashboard and the seats to make it look more modern than the current-spec model.

The convenience feature suite is likely to be the same as now, and the facelifted Kushaq is expected to be equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8-inch digital driver’s display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and an 8-speaker sound system. It will also come with an auto AC with rear vents, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, but Skoda might equip the facelifted model with a panoramic sunroof, similar to its staunch rivals like Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.

The safety suite is expected to be similar as well, with 6 airbags (as standard), a rear parking camera with sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ISOFIX child-seat anchorages, and hill-hold assist. To make the competition better, the Kushaq facelift could get a 360-degree camera setup and a Level-2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) suite.
