MG Comet EV Prices Hiked By Up To Rs 15,000

The Comet EV with the battery rental plan has also become costlier as along with a Rs 15,000 hike, the subscription cost has gone up from Rs 2.9 to Rs 3.1 per km

MG had increased the prices of the Comet EV in May 2025 by up to Rs 36,000. Now, the carmaker has once again hiked the prices of its entry-level EV by up to Rs 15,000. Along with this, the battery subscription fee under the battery-as-a-service (BaaS) option has also gone up from Rs 2.9 per km to Rs 3.1 per km. As the table suggests, the prices of MG Comet EV have gone up by Rs 15,000.

Other Changes

Other than the prices, nothing else has changed in MG’s most affordable EV in India. It continues to offer dual 10.25-inch screens (one for infotainment and another for the instrument cluster), wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with a 4-speaker sound system. Convenience features on offer include a manual AC, electrically foldable outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), power windows as well as keyless entry and go.

The safety features remain the same and include dual front airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), all four disc brakes, hill-hold assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, a reverse parking camera and sensors, and an electronic parking brake.
