    With the introduction of the Kia Carens Clavis, Kia Carens Clavis EV and Renault Triber facelift, the mass-market MPV segment has seen a lot of interest in recent times. With a cumulative total sales of over 15,000 units, it won’t be wrong to say that customers seem to be interested in buying cars with this body type in India thanks to the added convenience of an extra row of seats. If you want to know the model-wise sales breakup of the mass-market MPVs, here’s a detailed look at it.

    Maruti Ertiga

    • The Maruti Ertiga has maintained its pinnacle position in the MPV sales chart in July 2025 by surpassing 16,000 sales. This helped it register a 15 percent MoM and a 6 percent YoY growth.

    Maruti Eeco

    • Next in line was the Maruti Eeco, which found a place in over 12,000 homes. Like the Ertiga, it also recorded a MoM and YoY growth of 24 and 4 percent, respectively.

    Toyota Innova Crysta

    • One of Toyota’s best selling nameplates, the Innova, which consists of both the Hycross and Crysta crossed 9,000 unit cumulative sales in July 2025, which resulted in a 3 percent MoM growth. However,  800 more units of the MPV(s) were sold in July 2024.

    Kia Carens Clavis

    • The Carens nameplate has seen the introduction of the Carens Clavis ICE and EV versions in the past months, all of which collectively fetched 7,602 unit sales for the Korean carmaker. However, in June 2025, 300 more units of the nameplate were sold. 

    Maruti XL6

    • The Ertiga’s more premium twin, the Maruti XL6, crossed 2,000 sales comfortably, but recorded a 27 percent decline in sales in July 2025, compared to July 2024. 

    Renault Triber

    • Renault Triber, the most affordable 7-seater offering in India, received a facelift in July 2025 and it just fell short of 13 units to cross the 2,000 unit sales mark. That being said, the crossover MPV recorded a massive 28 percent and 36 percent sales growth in both MoM and YoY terms, respectively.

    Toyota Rumion

    • While the Ertiga topped the table, the rebadged Toyota Rumion faced a sharp decline in sales in July 2025. It lost a massive 146 percent sales compared to June 2025, while the numbers declined by 70 percent compared to the month of July last year.

    Maruti Invicto

    • The Maruti Invicto is the last MPV in the list and it fetched a total of 351 sales. Although the sales numbers are slim compared to the Innova Hycross sibling, a significant MoM growth of 33 percent and a YoY growth of 44 percent was recorded.
