Mahindra Scorpio, Hyundai Creta, And Kia Seltos Were The Best-selling Compact SUVs In November 2023

The segment witnessed total sales of over 55,000 units but it was down by more than 13 percent compared to October 2023

In November 2023, the compact SUV segment experienced an overall month-on-month (MoM) sales decline of over 13 percent. The Mahindra Scorpio topped the list for the second consecutive time, closely followed by the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. • Despite facing an MoM loss of over 10 percent, the Mahindra Scorpio outperformed both the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, emerging as the best-selling SUV in November 2023. • The Honda Elevate, launched in September 2023, crossed the sales mark of 4,500 units in November 2023. And yet, Honda’s compact SUV faced a slight decrease of 4 percent in monthly sales.

• Toyota's version of the Grand Vitara and the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, also experienced a notable loss of almost 25 percent in month-over-month (MoM) sales. In November 2023, Toyota sold 3,000-odd units of the Hyryder, approximately 500 units less than its average sales over the last six months. • Lastly, the MG Astor was the only compact SUV last month with less than 1,000 units retailed. Moreover, it had a market share of a meagre 1.3 percent.
