Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Expected Prices: Will It Undercut Maruti Swift, Ford Figo, Freestyle?

Update: Hyundai has launched the Grand i10 Nios at Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom India). The hatchback is available with both petrol and diesel engine options which are being offered with optional AMT gearbox as well as manual transmission options. Read more about it here.

• Grand i10 Nios bookings are open through the Hyundai website and dealerships for Rs 11,000.

• Grand i10 Nios will be sold alongside the second-gen Grand i10 and will command a premium over the latter.

• Expected to get BS6 petrol and diesel engines; Will get AMT option with both powertrains.

• Prices could range between Rs 5.20 lakh to Rs 8 lakh.

The upcoming Hyundai Grand i10 Nios promises to be a step up over the existing Grand i10. It’s going to launch on August 20 and bookings are ongoing for a token payment of Rs 11,000 through the company website or authorized dealerships.

The Grand i10 Nios will be sold alongside the current second-gen Grand i10 but with a choice of BS6-compliant (expected) petrol and diesel engine with an optional 5-speed AMT. Once the Grand i10 Nios enters the picture, Hyundai will stop offering the petrol AT and diesel manual with the Grand i10.

Hyundai will be offering the Grand i10 Nios in a choice of five variants as before- Era, Magna, Sportz, Sportz Dual Tone and Asta.
