Datsun Launches redi-GO 'Sport' at Rs 3.49 Lakh
Datsun has launched a limited edition of its entry level offering – the redi-GO – today at Rs 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi). Christened as redi-GO ‘Sport’, it comes with aesthetic upgrades along with few additional features, while mechanically it remains unaltered. Datsun, which is the affordable arm of Nissan, wants to cash in the upcoming festive season with this special edition.

Datsun has launched a limited edition of its entry level offering – the redi-GO – today at Rs 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi). Christened as redi-GO ‘Sport’, it comes with aesthetic upgrades along with few additional features, while mechanically it remains unaltered. Datsun, which is the affordable arm of Nissan, wants to cash in the upcoming festive season with this special edition.
The redi-GO Sport features racing stripes, which are applied across the length of the car. Additionally, the limited run model also has side stripes, black painted wheel caps and grille (both with red highlights), and a roof spoiler. The Datsun redi-Go colors are available only in three shades, namely, Ruby, White and Grey.
On the inside, Datsun offers new sporty all-black cabin – dashboard and upholstery – with red highlights (mimicking the exterior). It also comes with a few additional features such as Bluetooth enabled music system, remote key-less entry and rear parking sensors.
Mechanically, as we have mentioned above, there are no changes. The special edition is powered by the same 799cc three-cylinder motor which produces 53PS of peak power along with 72Nm of max torque, mated to a 5-speed manual. For the uninitiated, this motor is shared with the Renault Kwid.
