Audi India Takes A BIG Step To Offer Peace Of Mind To Owners, Introduces A Robust 10-Year Extended Warranty And 15-Year Roadside Assistance Programme

In what comes as a welcome move for Audi owners, the German carmaker has announced the introduction of a 10-year extended warranty and a 15-year roadside assistance (RSA) programme. Audi says the new initiative will be applicable to all models in its Indian lineup and is offering the extended warranty as an optional extra.

More Details Of The Warranty

Customers are being offered the option to choose from a 1-year and a 2-year extension with coverage terms similar to the standard warranty. The programme covers all manufacturing defects for vehicles up to 10 years or up to 2 lakh kilometres (whichever is earlier).

The warranty is available on all Audi cars sold in India and offers flexible purchase options, allowing customers to acquire coverage at the time of new car delivery or before the existing warranty expiry. That said, Audi has not specifically mentioned the cost of the extended warranty package, and hence we request you to contact your nearest dealership for more details.

What About The RSA Programme?

The Audi RSA programme provides comprehensive 24x7 emergency roadside assistance services across India's extensive road network, including all National and State highways, and motorable roads within the country.

Here’s what else will be entailed under the RSA programme:

• Towing on breakdown, accident or vehicle immobilisation to the nearest authorised Audi workshop

• Immediate technical support for minor mechanical and electrical faults

• Emergency support services such as fuel delivery of up to 10 litres (fuel cost to be borne by the customer), battery boost, tyre repair and replacement, and spare key delivery and lockout assistance

Not only that, the RSA programme will also provide premium customer care services as follows: 

• Hotel accommodation or onward/return journey for repairs exceeding 72 hours (when more than 100 km from the base location)

• Custody, transportation and vehicle safekeeping services

• Specially designed towing platforms

• Complimentary refreshments for all the passengers

Audi owners can avail the following services as well:

• Email notifications to the nearest dealership for all breakdown cases

• Customer updates every half an hour until case closure

• 100 percent use of protective body covers offered during service

• Dedicated custody and mobility assistance

• WhatsApp-based service request system for convenient access

The roadside assistance programme provides the option of flexible coverage packages with pricing ranging from Rs 3,999 to Rs 8,000 across varied validity periods and vehicle’s age. The extended warranty and RSA programme will be available for all new Audi customers. Existing customers have the opportunity to upgrade their coverage based on their vehicle's age and current warranty status.
