Audi A4 Diesel Launched In India At Rs 40.20 Lakh
Audi India has launched a powerful diesel variant of its A4 sedan at Rs 40.20 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Gets powerful 2.0L engine, generates 192PS of power, delivers 18.25kmpl of mileage
One of the best selling cars in the German carmaker’s portfolio, the A4 received a facelift in September last year. The new diesel variant gets a 2.0-litre TDI four-cylinder engine which pumps out seven per cent more power - 192PS and massive torque of 400Nm. A 7-speed S tronic gearbox is linked to this powerhouse. The bookings of the Audi saloon are now open.
Apart from the power figures, what’s more interesting about the new A4 diesel is the bump in fuel efficiency numbers, which now reads 18.25kmpl. The mileage is seven per cent more compared to its predecessor. With mileage still being a cause of concern even in the premium segments, the increase in it is likely to flock more aspirants to the Audi showrooms.
The updated petrol version gets a 1.4-litre turbo motor which chucks out 150PS of max power and 250Nm of peak torque. This is the same engine that is doing duty in the Skoda Octavia and new A3. Underpinning the A4 is the MLB platform, which is made up of high-strength light weight material which helps in bringing down the total weight by 120kg.
With respect to aesthetics, the A4 is in line with the current design philosophy of the company, as seen in the TT, R8 and Q7. In terms of features, it gets the Audi virtual cockpit, Audi Smartphone Interface and new Audi MMI display.
The new Audi A4 will be taking on the rivals such as the BMW 3-Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
