A Volkswagen Vento in Exchange for Old Car and Rs. 1
The Indian automotive industry is certainly not in a good shape, February sales were the worst decline in last 12 years, as per the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). In fact the entire 2012 too wasn't very much impressive, and SIAM isn't hoping a positive 2013 too. So, to get things right, most automakers in India are coming up with different schemes and offering discounts and freebies to lure car buyers. So this seems the right time for the people planning to buy a new car.
Some auto companies are offering finance at 0% interest, free insurance and other freebies, and there are a few offering a new car in exchange for an old one. Volkswagen India has come up with such a scheme, they are offering Vento sedan in exchange for an old car and Rs 1, while the buyer can pay the difference amount after a year. However, the old car should be worth half the price of the new car, else the difference needs to be paid upfront.
Volkswagen started the scheme on February 14th and kept it open for four days, but they have now extended the scheme as you can see VW promoting the above mentioned scheme both on social media and their official website. So if you are in a mood to replace your old car with a new car, this scheme is surely the best one currently.
