The 2025 Tata Harrier EV is the flagship electric SUV from Tata Motors that is priced at Rs 21.49 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). It comes in three broad variants: Adventure, Fearless, and Empowered, and sits above the Tata Curvv EV in the brand’s lineup. Notably, the base-spec Harrier EV Adventure is priced similarly to the fully-loaded Empowered Plus A trim of the Tata Curvv EV. So, which Tata EV should you buy? Let’s find out.

The 2025 Tata Harrier EV base-spec Adventure variant is Rs 50,000 more affordable than the Tata Curvv EV’s top-spec Accomplished Plus A variant. While the Curvv EV gets a lot of advanced tech in its top-spec trim, the Harrier EV’s base variant is also loaded with some premium amenities.

The Harrier EV belongs to a higher segment than the Curvv EV and is noticeably larger in every dimension. This gives it a stronger road presence and a more spacious cabin as well. In terms of boot space, both EVs offer similar capacity with the seats up. For instance, the Curvv EV’s boot easily fits in a full set of suitcases alongside a few duffle bags and soft parcels.


Both the EVs also come with a frunk (front storage space under the bonnet). The Harrier EV Adventure has a 67-litre frunk which is significantly bigger than that of the Curvv EV.

The Harrier EV comes with a bigger battery pack than the Curvv EV paired with a single electric motor, which makes it more powerful. It also supports faster DC charging. While the 65 kWh battery pack’s detailed specifications and claimed range haven’t been revealed yet, the Harrier EV is also available with a 75 kWh battery which has an MIDC-claimed range of 627 km. The smaller battery pack is expected to offer more range than the Curvv EV, making the Harrier more efficient overall.

Both the Tata Harrier EV Adventure and the Tata Curvv EV Empowered Plus A offer several common features. These include leatherette seat upholstery, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, auto AC with rear vents, keyless entry with push-button start, paddle shifters for regen modes, V2L and V2V tech, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety features like six airbags, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, hill hold and descent control, and TPMS are also offered on both.
The Curvv EV Empowered Plus A gets some additional comfort and convenience with ventilated front seats, reclining rear seats, dual-zone auto AC, a powered tailgate, and a panoramic sunroof. It also gets a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, and a wireless phone charger. Even in terms of safety, it gets adaptive cruise control, and Level-2 ADAS system over the Harrier EV.
In contrast, the Harrier EV offers multi-terrain modes, an 8-way power-adjustable driver seat and 4-way powered co-driver seat and an integrated side step.
Verdict


The Tata Harrier EV stands out as the larger and more powerful SUV. It offers faster charging, a solid set of essential features, and a strong road presence. If you are looking for a bigger SUV that has a traditional SUV-like styling and also want a more powerful offering the Harrier EV turns out to be a perfect fit.
On the other hand, the Tata Curvv EV, in its top-spec variant, grabs attention with its unique coupe-like design. The Curvv EV is a well-rounded package with good features and a battery pack that has a claimed range of over 500 km. So, if you want a unique-looking SUV, but do not want to skimp on features, you can consider the Curvv EV.
