    All New BMW 5 Series ready for launch

    The all new BMW 5 Series model is all set to enter in the Indian market as the company is ready to launch it by the end of this month. Earlier the 5 Series model was scheduled to be launched at the end of June this year but as the Mercedes Benz's recently launched E-Class is receiving a very good response from Indian buyers, BMW has cut short the time of the launch of this model.

    The all new BMW 5 Series model is all set to enter in the Indian market as the company is ready to launch it by the end of this month. Earlier the 5 Series model was scheduled to be launched at the end of June this year but as the Mercedes Benz's recently launched E-Class is receiving a very good response from Indian buyers, BMW has cut short the time of the launch of this model.

    The new BMW 5 series will be assembled at BMW's Chennai plant, where the company is already assembling many of its popular cars in India. The new 5 Series model has many features and designs common with BMW's famous 7 Series model, which was introduced in year 2002. According to company, about 25 to 40 percent parts of the new 5 series model has been directly lifted from the 7 Series.

    The new 5 Series model will be launched with all new generation safety features including the ABS (Antilock Braking System) and multiple airbags. with this, Company has given a significant consideration to the comfort level of the car while preparing it for Indian market.

    It is expected that initially the new BMW 5 Series will be launched with two engine options including twin-turbo 535i petrol engine which is able to generate a maximum power of 306 bhp and a 530d common rail diesel with around 240 bhp. Though after analysing the performance of the initial models it is expected that more variants would be launched including entry level 520d and smaller six-cylinder petrol models like the 523i and 528i.
