Call it a Maruti Ignis impact or the Hyundai Grand i10’s facelift, Toyota Motors has responded by adding a funkier element to the exteriors of its Etios Liva – dual tone shades. Five months back, in September last year, the Liva received the facelift and now the addition of dual tone exterior reiterates the brand’s intention to penetrate deeper into the young minds. Seems like it’s not only Maruti which is targeting the millennials of the country -- even Toyota is in the race. The new dual tone Liva will be available in V and VX grades and will come in a choice of three colours - Ultramarine Blue, Vermilion Red and Super White.

Undoubtedly, the Liva has the best in class interior space, decent built quality (at par with rivals), powerful underpinnings, and highest safety standards compared to the competition. One of the highlights of the Liva is the standardisation of dual SRS airbags, advanced Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) across its variants. Besides, the ISOFIX child seat locks is also standard across the trims, making it one of the safest vehicles to buy in its price range.

Speaking on the introduction of the dual shades, N. Raja, director & senior vice president - Sales & Marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said “We are delighted to present to you the “The New Dual-Tone Etios Liva” with stylish dual tone exterior, best safety features and bold design. Toyota Kirloskar Motor believes in constant innovation to upgrade its products and offer the best features to its customers. It is with this underlying philosophy that Toyota has come a long way with the Etios series.  We had introduced our first dual tone Etios during the festive season in the year 2015 which had received overwhelming response.  Later during September 2016, we had introduced the Platinum Etios and Liva catering to the changing taste of Indian customers, setting new standards of safety, dependability, quality and performance.”

Sales of the Toyota Etios Liva were lingering around 6-700 units a month until September 2016, when it received the facelift, and from thereon, the figures have risen to 1000 units a month. Let’s see if this addition of dual shades is able to up its sales further.
