Tata Shares New Teaser Video Of Punch, Confirms Upcoming Camo Edition

Modified On Sep 22, 2022 07:08 PM By Rohit for Tata Punch

The Punch Camo Edition is slated to go on sale on September 22

Update: Tata has launched the new Camo Edition for the Punch, offered from the Adventure variant with prices starting at Rs 6.85 lakh (ex-showroom).

  • It will be the second Tata car to get the Camo edition.

  • Tata could offer the special edition of the Punch in multiple variants.

  • Exterior changes to include olive green body colour and ‘Camo’ badges on the fenders.

  • Expected to get an all-black cabin with green stitching on seats and steering wheel.

  • To be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol engine as the regular variants.

  • To command a premium of around Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 over the standard variants.

Tata is set to bring out a new special edition of its micro SUV, the Punch, as suggested by a new teaser. The video confirms that it will be the ‘Camo Edition’, making the Punch only the second Tata SUV to get it after the Harrier and it will be launched on September 22.

It will be only the second special edition for the Punch, following the Kaziranga edition and could be offered across multiple variants of the standard car.

The teaser gives us a glimpse of the SUV’s olive green shade and the ‘Camo’ badges on the front fenders. It also shows that the special edition Punch will come with blacked alloy wheels. Also, expect all its chrome bits to be given the black treatment as was the case with the Harrier Camo Edition.

Inside, we expect the Punch Camo Edition to get a fully black cabin with a splash of green stitching on the upholstery and steering wheel. Tata is unlikely to tinker with the features list though and the Punch Camo Edition is expected to get the same goodies as the regular car like a seven-inch touchscreen unit, auto AC, a reversing camera and rain-sensing wipers.

The Punch Camo edition will get the micro SUV’s 1.2-litre petrol engine (making 86PS and 113Nm), mated to a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT.

Tata is expected to price the Punch’s special edition at a premium of Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 over the regular model. At present the Punch is priced from Rs 5.93 lakh to Rs 9.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and it goes up against the Maruti Ignis, Mahindra KUV100 NXT, the Renault Kiger and the Nissan Magnite.
