Skoda Rapid Diesel Now Launches in Nepal
Skoda has now launched the diesel version of its famous sedan Rapid in the Nepal, the similar vehicle is already on sale in India. In fact, the car has been launched in all three variants- Active Plus, Ambition Plus and Elegance with the 1.6-litre, which are available in India as well. The car will be competing with the likes of Volkswagen Vento TDI, Ford Fiesta and Fiat Linea in the Nepali market.

Speaking on the same, Vishnu Kumar Agrawal, MD- SKODA MAW, the authorised distributor for Skoda vehicles in Nepal said, “We have introduced diesel version of Rapid as the diesel cars have more benefit compared to the petrol ones. The diesel cars are more economical, provide better mileage and pick up and deliver high torque,” Vishnu Kumar Agrawal, managing director of Skoda MAW, the authorized distributor for Skoda vehicles in Nepal, said.
Having powered by the 1.6-litre diesel mill, the vehicle churns out the maximum power output of 103bhp at 4400rpm and 250Nm of peak torque at 1500-2500rpm and returns an impressive 20kmpl of mileage, making it one of the most fuel efficient vehicles of its segment.
“With the new slogan ´Drive by Excellence´, the Skoda Rapid diesel is a real sedan with 1600cc of pure exhilaration,” the company said in a statement. “The car has been designed with various features to impart driving pleasure to its driver as well as passengers.” The Rapid diesel has been made available in a total five exciting colours- Briilian Silver, Candy White, Deep Black Pearl, Cappucino Beige and Flash Red.
“We have introduced all three variants of Skoda Rapid diesel at affordable price in order to encourage people to use diesel vehicles,” added Agrawal.
