Nissan Sunny price could be placed between Etios and Verna petrol base variants

Nissan India seems to be taking a bird’s view on Indian car market. Launching its mid-size sedan-Nissan Sunny on September 20th, the Japanese car manufacturer wants to drive volumes with its product this time unlike Micra. For this, Nissan will take all necessary steps including pricing of Nissan Sunny.

It is observed that Nissan might sandwich the Sunny sedan price between the entry level C-Segment and the top end C-segment sedans. Nissan Sunny price can fall between the Toyota Etios and the Hyundai Verna Fluidic petrol base variants. Toyota Etios VX is available at Rs 6.97 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) while Hyundai Verna Fluidic Petrol 1.6 SX VTVT AT is available at Rs 9.65 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Speculations are rife that Nissan Sunny will be tagged between these two i.e. Rs 6- Rs 8 lakh. Another contender, Ford Fiesta can also be left behind the petrol variants of which are offered in the range of Rs 8.23 and 9.42 lakh.

Not just pricing, Nissan Micra’s specifications make it even better contender than its rivals. A 1.5 litre petrol engine producing 99 bhp power and a torque of 134 Nm on wheels will be powering Nissan Sunny. Safety features like ABS with EBD and SRS airbags in all three variants- Nissasn Sunny XE, Nissan Sunny XL and Nissan XV are loaded in the sedan. Comfort quotient of this car will definitely kill the rivals as Nissan Sunny is going to endorse ample legroom at rear seats. Although Tata Manza possesses impressive and comfortable interiors but leg space is still a constraint in Tata Manza and any other C-segment cars. On top of this, AC vents are also provided on the rear seats.
