Nissan group now launching small car in India

Nissan group has been known for its big car models in India. Now this group has come with a decision to enter in the small car segment in India. At present plans have come to the notice of the company that they will be going to launch a small car in India for which the production has already started and the model variant will be made available from 2010. This Japanese small car manufacturing company Nissan will going to start production from the company factory situated at Chennai Greenfield developed along with the French auto-giant, Renault. According to the Chief Executive officer of the company Shouhei Kimura the company is presently planning to go according to the economic demnds of the customers. So, in order to meet the demands the company is moving slow on its lines and the company needs to start production in a different way.
  Earlier the company moved along with Renault group to have production in two different lines but in consince to the present ongoing financial crises the company wants to hold the investment plans and wants to develop a manufacturing capacity of nearly 200,000 vehicles annually. Officials also believes that the market is needed to be examined very clearly. And moreover the company is also planning on a second different type of production line in order to overcome the present economic crises going on.
  According to the chief executive officer of Nissan the company will make its attempt to roll out the small car variant even in the present ongoing global financial meltdown, and that too by the end of the year 2010.
