Next-gen Kia Seltos Global Debut Tomorrow: Top 5 Things You Need To Know

The upcoming Seltos will not only feature a complete overhaul in styling but will also get refreshed interior, feature and powertrain updates

Kia Seltos, one of the popular models in the compact SUV segment, is all set for a full model update. While the brand has already offered a first look ahead of the global debut tomorrow, the updates go well beyond just the way it looks. The next-gen Seltos will undergo a complete model overhaul, featuring an all-new exterior, a redesigned cabin, updated features and a refreshed powertrain lineup. With its global debut tomorrow, here are the top five things you need to know about the upcoming Seltos.

2026 Kia Seltos: Exterior Design

The new-gen Seltos is expected to adopt a noticeably more upright and squared-off design compared to the current model. Kia’s teaser images suggest a wider stance, a flatter bonnet and a cleaner body profile. The front profile features a redesigned interpretation of Kia’s Tiger Face identity, complemented by a split headlamp setup that incorporates vertically arranged LED DRLs. At the rear, it features C-shaped connected taillights, while flush-fitted door handles and sporty alloy wheels are the other noticeable design highlights.

2026 Kia Seltos: Interior

The interior of the upcoming Seltos is expected to feature a refreshed look as well. The dashboard design will likely be new and appear to follow the styling language seen on newer global Kia models. A dual 12.3-inch screen arrangement is expected, replacing the smaller setup in the current model. Revised switchgear, slimmer air-con vents and updated climate control toggles are also expected to be part of the interior overhaul.

Higher variants are likely to offer features such as a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, wireless charging and a premium sound system, although full details will be confirmed closer to launch.

2026 Kia Seltos: Features And Safety

Apart from dual 12.3-inch screen for infotainment and digital instrument cluster, the 2026 Seltos is expected to come equipped with features such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, a powered co-driver’s seat with boss mode, ventilated rear seats and a powered tailgate. 

Safety features are expected to include multiple airbags, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, a 360-degree camera system, and level-2 ADAS.

2026 Kia Seltos: Powertrain

The new-gen Seltos is expected to carry forward a familiar set of engine options. These include the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and the 1.5-litre diesel engine, each paired with the gearbox options currently offered in the Indian market. 

Globally, a strong-hybrid option has been speculated, though there is no confirmation yet on whether this version will be offered in India. 

Full performance and efficiency figures will be officially announced at the time of the global debut.

2026 Kia Seltos: Expected Price and Rivals

Pricing-wise, we expect the 2026 Seltos to cost between Rs 11.30 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV will continue to compete in the compact SUV segment, taking on models such as the  Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq. and the newly launched Tata Sierra.  

The next-generation Seltos is expected to reach Indian showrooms sometime in early 2026, following its global introduction.
