Honda that launched the new generation City sedan in India, has launched the vehicle in the Thailand market. In India, this mid-sized sedan is being offered in both petrol and diesel guise, however for Thailand buyers, the company has launched the sedan with a single petrol engine option.

The all-new Honda City is based on the "Exciting H Design" concept. “H” represents the Human Center that puts the focus on the driver and passengers. The “Man Maximum, Machine Minimum” concept was the essence of the development.

Under the hood, the new Honda City gets the 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine that churns out a maximum power output of 117bhp at 6,000rpm and torque of 146Nm at 4,700rpm. The new continuously variable transmission (CVT), based on Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology, is augmented with enhanced gear ratios and a G-Design Shift.

On safety front, the all-new Honda City comes equipped with a full range of standard safety solutions. These include an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Hill Start Assist (HSA) and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) in all variants. It also feature six airbags including Dual SRS, i-Side Airbags, and Side Curtain Airbags, plus a Multi-angle Rearview Camera with three-level adjustment and many others.

The all-new Honda City gets an audio system with a 7-inch touch screen that supports a smartphone interface, plus an automatic air conditioning system with a luxurious and user-friendly touch control panel. Other features include a One-Push Ignition System, Honda Smart Key system, and a Multi-function steering wheel that sports a 7-speed Paddle Shift, cruise control, audio control switch, and handsfree telephone switch.

The new Honda City in Thailand is available in six variants priced from 550,000 Baht (around Rs. 10.40 lakh) to 749,000 Baht (INR 14.20 lakh).
