New Ford Fiesta coming mid-2011

New Ford Fiesta to be priced between Rs 7 to 9 Lakh One of the biggest names in the world of automobiles, Ford is ready to come up with its all new and exclusive Ford Fiesta, latest generation sedan by mid-2011. Ford Fiesta price will lie in a range of Rs 7lakh to Rs 9lakh. The news has been confirmed by the company officials. The upcoming Ford Fiesta is among those eight new models which the company has planned to launch globally and it is also the first one out of the group to enter the Indian shores.

The all exclusive and newly designed Ford Fiesta (codenamed B299) is based on the company’s global kinetic design theme and the size of the car is increased artistically as compared to present model of Ford Fiesta. The car in the Indian auto market will carry a badge of Ford Fiesta Classic. The platform on which next generation Ford Fiesta is built is same as the one used by the company in Ford Mazda 2. This upcoming model will have a 2489mm wheelbase similar to the existing Ford Fiesta models. The platform used in the car is moulded and enriched in the company’s unique was which promises a better driving experience to the ccupants.

The powerterain used in the car is 1.6-litre petrol engine capable of smoking out 120bhp. Coming to the diesel engine, it will give a peak power of 90bhp through the 1.6-litre engine. At present the diesel variant carries a 1.4 litre engine which gives 68bhp of top power. The new diesel engine gives a great torque of 20.7kgm. The car will come with enhanced features which also include the superior interiors and smart styling of the car. The car is built on the Japanese and European engineering and comes out with the best of result.
