After being teased for a long time, the Kia Carens Clavis is going to debut in India tomorrow, on May 8, 2025. While it is based on the Carens, there are significant changes both in how it looks and what it offers. Ahead of its debut, the Kia Carens Clavis’ brochure has leaked online, revealing details of this upcoming MPV’s exterior and interior design, comfort and safety features, colour options and variant walk. Here are the details:
Exterior And Interior Differences
The exterior design of the Kia Carens Clavis looks similar to the internationally-available Kia EV5. The fascia, especially, is very different from the currently-available Kia Carens. It has now become sharper and gets 3-pod LED headlights in a triangular housing, highlighted by LED DRLs that look sleek and give the MPV an aggressive look.
The Carens Clavis’ grille is blanked-off and the bumper features a blacked-out portion that looks striking with the silver faux skid plate.
In profile, it gets bigger 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels which have a new star-like pattern that looks more modern than those on the Carens MPV. Other than this, the design elements including the black cladding on the wheel arches, silver roof rails and door handles look similar to the Carens.
At the rear, the revised LED tail lights now have an illuminated light bar connecting it. The rear bumper has been updated and features a silver faux skid plate that makes it look more rugged and SUV-like.
Like the exterior, the interior too will see some significant changes, including a brand new dashboard with a new 2-spoke steering wheel that is identical to the one on the Kia Syros. It also comes with dual 12.3-inch screens (one for the infotainment and another for the instrumentation), also shared with the premium subcompact SUV.
Right below it are some physical controls, which function between the air-con and infotainment duties. The 3-row seating layout will be similar to the Carens with the option of either a 6- or 7-seater layouts.
