Hyundai showcases the ICC World Twenty20 2012 First Ball

Hyundai Motors India showcased the “First Ball” for ICC World Twenty20, 2012 from September 6th to September 9th. The first cricket ball was showcased in 6 cities, namely; New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Lucknow. This set of cricket balls were displayed in a specially branded Hyundai Eon. There were special activities as well, that were organized by dealers which included games like cricket trivia, juggling balls, graffiti walls etc.

The “First Ball” concept was built keeping in mind the objective of providing the cricket fans in India with an opportunity to indulge in celebrations of the moments of the World Cup Twenty20 which will be held in Sri Lanka this year. An hour prior to the match, representatives of Hyundai Motors will hand over the set of cricket balls to the match umpire who would decide which cricket ball will be used. As a part of the World Twenty20, Hyundai has also showcased the ICC Trophy in the special campaign, called “Trophy Tour”.

HMIL, MD & CEO, B. S. Seo, said that the ICC World Twenty20 series is a great platform for Hyundai and the company is delighted to be associated with it as the official partner till 2015. He also added that this was a great opportunity for HMIL to combine the passion of the nation with Hyundai’s commitment towards sports. Further he said that with this “First Ball” showcase, Hyundai aims to reach out to the customers and provide them with unmatched experience and also build up the momentum for the World Cup series.
