Honda BR-V Promotion Video Released | Comprehensively Detailing its Features

Update: All the wait and the anticipation came to an end with Honda finally unveiling its debut compact SUV BR-V that is set to take on the likes of Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta, Ford Ecosport and Nissan Terrano in India. The compact SUV segment is already quite competitive but Honda BR-V with its stunning appearance and an impressive set of interior features, has the right ingredients to take its competitors on. With two engine variants of petrol and diesel, Honda BR-V holds an edge over other compact SUVs with a third foldable seat. Know more about this new Crossover revealed at Auto Expo.

Honda BR-V was launched in the Indonesian market yesterday, following Honda’s “How Brave Are We?” promotional campaign. Post launch, an Indonesian subsidiary of the Japanese Automaker released a promotional video that comprehensively details, all the features of the compact SUV. The Mobilio-based SUV was launched with a price tag of Rs. 10.93 lakh (approximately) i.e. IDR 226.5 million. The promotional video for the BR-V incorporates “Only the Braver” tagline.The video opens with an aerial shot of a base jumper before showcasing the comprehensive account of the SUV’s features like DRLs, projector headlamps, diamond cut alloys, foldable third row, touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control with rear AC vents,  electrically controlled wing mirrors, rear parking camera and others.

Under the hood, the Indonesian variant of the 7 seater Honda SUV incorporates a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine  that is capable of delivering a power output of 120PS @6600rpm and a peak torque of 145Nm @4600rpm. The powerplant comes mated to a standard 6-speed manual transmission with an option for a CVT automatic. The crossover SUV only comes with a FWD drive type and not a 4X4 configuration. The Honda BRV mileage too is expected to be decent. In terms of safety features, BR-V comes with airbags, Hill Start Assist and ABS with EBD. The car is expected to make its debut at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo, which will be held in February next year. BR-V will be manufactured out of the Tapukara plant located in Rajasthan and will rival the likes of Maruti S-Cross, Hyundai Creta and the Renault-Nissan alliance cousins viz. Duster and Terrano.
