Ford Fiesta Automatic likely to get a twin Clutch gearbox

The American auto manufacturer , Ford Motors is likely to launch new Ford Fiesta Automatic in India during the month of November. Speculations are rife that the sedan will be showcased at Ford’s dealerships one week prior to the launch. While there are many interesting features making their way into the sedan, there are two important aspects which are yet to be determined.

The auto major has not divulged any information if the new Ford Fiesta sedan will have the automatic gearbox in both the diesel and petrol variants. Rumour has it that a 6-speed double clutch automatic gearbox is also anticipated, while the traditional five-speed automatic gearbox option cannot be ruled out. If the Ford Fiesta Automatic does come with the six speed double clutch automatic gearbox, then the new sedan will be the first car from Ford Motors to stand in the league of the premium segment cars like Volkswagen Jetta and Skoda Laura.

The six speed Powershift double clutch automatic gearbox is supposed to give a major boost in the driving speed for the first time in the C segment cars. The other key features worth mentioning are the voice command recognition on the car infotainment interface, cruise control and the pull-drift adjustable power steering system. Price is another factor, which Ford India might want to consider on the Ford Fiesta Automatic, which is expected to increase substantially. The launch date of the new Fiesta sedan is yet to be confirmed by the auto major.
